The first thing to note about Graco's pack `n play is that it is larger than many playards. This colorful, mesh-sided pen unfolds to a 38" x 38" square, rather than the rectangular shape of most others on the market. While this equates to needing more space, it also means that baby is provided with a bigger (and sturdier) area to play in. The playard's stability comes from a four-footed metal frame, which-along with the four corner feet-gives it eight points of contact with the ground.  | | The included bag makes storing and carrying easy. | Setup takes one person only minutes, from snapping the frame in place to securing the rigid, padded-top floor (cutely decorated with a fun bug pattern) with the Velcro fasteners. I think we made an excellent deal. It`s compact which is very good for making it fit on our small apartment, but rather sturdy with beautiful colors. The most important thing.....my daughter loves it. It`s affordable as well.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

This plyard is a great size - it is square and much larger than the standard playard. My baby actually has room to roll around in it - she is not crammed like she would be in the smaller ones. She also loves the toys that are on each side - her favorite is the mirror and the rattle wings on the bug. The only small problem is that this does not fit through the door way - so you have to keep it in one room or have to collapse and re-set it if you want to move it. If you are looking for something the baby can PLAY in, this is the best thing ever! If you are only looking for something portable to SLEEP in, a smaller one may be better. Overall, I can't imagine anything better than this playard.
Lots of Room to Move August 13, 2008
We purchased this for my son when he was about 8 months. It was a livesaver for us as we had an open floorplan with stairs and needed a place where we knew he could be safe and not get into anything.
My son enjoys the interactive critters on the "walls" of the playyard and we are able to get plenty of toys inside with room for him as well. We like that it was convenient for moving outdoors or vacation, but mainly keep it in our living room/dining room/kitchen area.
The product is very sturdy, so much so that we sometimes have to struggle to remember how to collapse it (I would not consider this a drawback as the last thing you would want is for it to collapse on the child). The bottom is rugged and has a good amount of padding. The top edges are also padded. It is larger than most folding playyards and square, so it might be a tight fit for smaller homes or apartments, but these attributes were what drew us to this model.
Overall, I would consider this a great playyard.
Finally a big playpen! August 8, 2008
I hate the small sized "pack 'n play" playpens. I have been looking for a large one, like I had when my kids were little, in the 70s. This has plenty of room for the child to move around and play with toys. It is even large enough for twins. It is very safe, no where to pinch fingers. The only disadvantage is its size, it can't fit through door ways and takes up a lot of space in a room, but that is why I bought it. This is easy to set up and take down. It comes with a storage case so it can be tucked away when is is not in use.
