This little device is really awesome! I am going to buy one for my son. Works like a charm, and its software is incredibly "talented" in picking the correct information off every type of card imaginable.
CardScan does what it claims April 23, 2007
I have the CardScan Executive 700, and have used it for about a year. It works great, but I always had a couple of minor issues with the CardScan software v7. Recently purchased the v8 software upgrade, and it work so much better. The scanner just does what it should, and the v8 software works very well.
The CardScan Executive 700 with the v8 software work very well. Most cards in a traditional layout will scan and be recognized. If the color contrast is poor, or the fonts are two flowery, you may have to type in or correct information, but you will have the information and the image of the card (you can scan front and back). The new v8 software adds the ability to replace cards, when you get a newer card from an existing contact. The lookup feature is very fast even with 1500+ contacts, and the synchronization with Outlook just works (once you get it setup).

It was purchased for one of our VP and he like it a lot he said it is a time saver.
