Amazon.com Review
This professional-grade frothing thermometer clips to the side of a frothing pitcher and permits baristas (espresso machine operators) to instantly and precisely measure temperatures while steaming milk for cappuccinos or caffe lattes. The thermometer measures temperatures from 120 to 180 degrees F, and the optimum frothing temperature zone is indicated on the 1-1/4-inch dial in purple. The instrument has a 5-inch stainless-steel stem. --Fred Brack

1 out of 5 stars This "frothing" thermometer is useless without the proper frothing temperature range!   November 13, 2008
How can a thermometer labeled specifically for frothing not include the critical 80-100 degree range?? I wish I had been more careful before buying this since I simply cannot use it without knowing that vital 80-100 degree range, but who would have thought a thermometer marketed toward one specific purpose would not include the ability to use it for said purpose?

4 out of 5 stars Is it hot yet?   October 29, 2008
I had previously been using a meat thermometer and a binder clip when steaming milk for cappuccino. This purpose-built thermometer is much easier to use. The large numbers are easy to read and the target temperature zone is highlighted on the dial.

4 out of 5 stars Works Finw   October 20, 2008
This thermometer works for the use that it was intended. A little overpriced but hard to find so I'm just glad I was able to find it any price.

5 out of 5 stars Thermometer   September 17, 2008
Greatest thing ever for making a latte at home. Never liked what we got from our machine, but it's amazing what getting the right temperature for the milk can do - we used to try to gauge the heat of the milk by touch, but using this made it clear that we were way off. It really helps.

4 out of 5 stars cappuccino thermometer   August 13, 2008
wonderful little thermometer. Allows you to make cappucino froth just like the big guys. Only consideration is that it is only 5 inches long. Not meant for tall container. Get a frothing cup to fit.
