Product Description The GE SmartWater replacement filter cartridge (FXULC rev. 2) fits all GE SmartWater single-stage drinking water filters and many other brands of housings that accept 9.75 x 2.5 inch filters such as: GE GX1S15C, GE GN1S15CBL, GE GX1S01C, Culligan US-550, and Culligan US-600. It is interchangeable with all of the following filters: GE FXUVC, GE FXUTC, and Culligan D20, D30, & D40. It removes the following impurities: 98% of Lead, 90% of Mercury (6.5pH), 89% of Atrazine (a Herbicide), 92% of Lindane (a Pesticide), 89% of Cysts, 99% of Asbestos, 99% of Turbidity, 97% of Chlorine Taste and Odor, Particulates 0.5-1.0 micron. It does not remove flouride. GE recommends that you replace the filter every 6 months OR after 600 Gallons of water have been filtered OR if you notice a decrease in the flow of water or objectionable tastes in the water.
