I love being more informed!November 21, 2008 I read the newspaper now that it is on my Kindle. I had always tried before but hated the feel and the smell of the paper. The paper is so easy to navigate around. Once you get the hang of it you will love it. I hope the price goes down but either way I can't imagine being without it again.
Good Read ... Need to Add More to Article TitlesOctober 28, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I tried this paper as it is close to Arizona but seldom find any on AZ. Many of the articles are very close to articles in the Financial Times. The biggest improvement needed is after the first few articles listed, they only list article headings without the first part of the article. I wasted a lot of time opening the article to see what the subject really was and then going to the next. I am keeping the Financial Times and will be back to the LA Times if I do not find a paper as easy to read as the LA Times (even with the article listing lacking subject with heading).

I've been a happy subscriber to the Kindle NY Times for several months and I looked forward to the LA Times. I was looking forward to canceling my print subscription to the LA Times and save a tree, but as of today (8-27-2008) the Kindle edition of the LA Times has no photos. Granted, photos on the Kindle leave a lot to be desired, but photos add greatly to my experience of the NY Times.
I'll be back to re-sample the LA Times... get working on those photos.

Great Coverage and WritingAugust 16, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I live on the East Coast, read both the NY Times and Wash Post on the web, but was disappointed with both their Kindle attempts. Perhaps, their Kindle editions are finalized and published so early (between 4 to 6 am EST) that they can't include many of the stories found on their websites at the time most people start their days. It appears like both are a bit short on articles compared to their print or web editions. The LA Times Kindle edition, however, seems to have more timely headlines for the late morning commute (9 am EST). Also, their writing is solid, and coverage amazing. In addition to the hard news of world conflicts or the housing crisis, they mix in human interest stories like recent ones on the struggles of workaday classical musicians or archaeologists uncovering artifacts from ancient "green" Sahara. Definitely a keeper.
