The kid in you will appreciate how quick and easy it is to mix up a batch of cookie dough. This model comes with three attachments: a flat beater for making batter, meat loaf, and all textures in-between; a wire whip for egg whites, mayonnaise, and more air-infused creations; and a hook for mixing and kneading yeast doughs. All three are solidly constructed and easily secured to the beater shaft with a simple twist. This model also includes a pouring shield for guiding ingredients to their proper destination, and the bowl itself locks tight to the base. Love my stand mixerSeptember 6, 2008 I love this stand mixer. It arrived quickly and what appeared to be original kitchenaid packaging. Mine is the beautiful cobalt blue.
I only gave this 4 stars because it may need to be returned to kitchenaid. It sometimes makes a wierd clicking sound while at a high speed. My mother's KA stand mixer does make that sound. So far it does not seem effect the function but I'm concerned it will break.
Red KitchenAid mixerSeptember 2, 2008 I have wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer since 1952. Finally gave in and bought myself one for Christmas. It is a gorgeous red, and it decorates my counter because it is too heavy to move much, and also too beautiful to hide. I am very happy with this purchase. It works well, is easy to use, does a good job. Worth waiting for.
WonderfulSeptember 1, 2008 I love this - should have invested years' ago. It is heavy, but this means it doesn't move across the counter when in use. Every part of it seems strong and substantial, except the silly plastic flour adder piece that sits on top - this doesn't even fit properly. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone - and Amazon.com had the best price plus free shipping.
Wow!August 31, 2008 Works perfectly. Wish I had bought one years ago. Only problem is it mixes so fast you want to have all ingredients ready to add. No problem making whipped cream.
