 Poor quality October 1, 2008
The non-stick coating in mine started to chip off after only a few months(less than a year). It needs to be replaced after being used for one year since the bottom of the non-stick pan is in a really bad condition. Not a good quality product. I have used other rice cookers before and this one has the shortest life span as far as the non-stick coating is concerned.
There is also a bug in the delayed timer. If you set it to 1 hour, it is acturally about 15 minutes. The subsequent hours are fine. For example, the cooking begins after 2 hours and 15 minutes if you set it to 3 hours.

This has to be the best rice cooker ever made. Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, white, brown, wild, whatever. It's perfect for any kind of rice I've thrown at it. The lid stays sealed, and any condensed water flows into a cup on the side when you open the lid! Good stuff.
This is my second one I'm buying. The first lasted a year and a half of very very heavy use, before it became too difficult to clean. I'm sure it would last even longer for people who don't live off of rice and steamed tofu like we do.

I borrowed this rice cooker from my nephew who has used many rice cookers in the past. He is very pleased with this product and let me use it for a week. The rice cooker performed as expected with perfect brown, white and wild rice every time. Steam cooking vegetables is a major plus. Vegetables can be cooked at the same time with the rice. Product is very easy to operate.
