Poorly Constructed & Cheap LookingOctober 29, 2008 I ordered both the mustard & the ketchup because I have two dachshunds and thought it would be adorable. Unfortunately the ketchup arrived with one of the buns only half attached and therefore could not be used at all. The mustard arrived intact and held up alright to the dogs chewing on them however, not long after chewing on his costume (he was not allowed to chew enough to get pieces or to swallow anything) my dog began to throw up which makes me very concerned as to what chemicals were used in the fabric and the filling. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if your dog chews on things it could make him sick!!!
In the event you do still buy this product aim for a size bigger than you initially think you should get as they tend to run smaller than they advertise and the straps are quite tight.
real cuteJune 13, 2008 i got this outfit for my dachshund and even though he hates it i absolutley love it! just be careful because because ot runs small. otherwise it is soo adoriable!
Easy Halloween costumeDecember 27, 2007 Two velcro straps were easy for my puppy to get over. I bought a mustard bottle costume so we could coordinate.
hot dog diggity costume size S mustardNovember 28, 2007 my puppy doxie looked absolutely adorable in this costume. a couple of minor flaws in the costume:
1. the mustard was not sewed on to the strap intricately enough so it ended up coming off after two days. may need to sew it on tighter. 2. for dogs who dont like to wear costumes (such as my puppy) it is easy to slip out of this.
not everyone may have these problems but i did. other than that they are minor and probably somewhat expected - i would recommend this.
