Works greatAugust 29, 2008 I bought this just for simple little clips to put on myspace or youtube and for that it works just fine. The one drawback is there is no editing software for Mac and you can't use it with iMovie which is too bad. So you are stuck with simple unedited video but if you can shoot things like you are editing you'll be fine. Did that make sense? I wouldn't expect anything fancy with this but for short and sweet, it does the trick.
Flip is a big success.August 29, 2008 The Mino is everything I thought it would be and more. After an initial disappointment with it not being charged properly and a little help from FLIP Support it has worked flawlessly since. The trick here is to charge it fully right away. I took it out of the box and fired it up...worked fine. I charged it for a short time and thought I was okay. But later, it wouldn't turn on at all. FLIP Support informed me that in the tri-pod mounting hole is a small reset hole into which a paper clip or some such thing can be inserted. That will reset everything. Charge it fully and have fun. I took it on vacation and now with the help of iMovie, I have a wonderful 26 minute video of our vacation at the beach. I couldn't be more pleased.
Awesome camcorder~!August 28, 2008 We got this just in time for my sister's wedding and we love how small and easy it is to use. We also have a small baby and it is super quick to capture all her precious moments. Not only that, the built in USB adapter makes it super quick to attach to a computer/laptop to download and edit the movies and put them online. We highly highly recommend this item.
Perfect!August 28, 2008 This camcorder exceeded my expectations. It has worked perfectly since day one. I am using a Mac and the preloaded software works fine. You can also import straight into iPhoto if thats what you prefer. Battery life is more than enough to record 60 minutes of video. Oh ya it looks pretty cool too!
It stopped working after about a month and a halfAugust 27, 2008 We loved the little camcorder and it worked great for about a month and a half. Then my husband plugged it into the computer yesterday and it was not recognized nor did it charge. Completely dead. Luckily we had uploaded what was on there before the crash. Since others have had similar problems I would hesitate to order unless you got an extended return policy and even then, maybe just look for something else...
