A MUST FOR TRAVELERSNovember 8, 2008 I purchased this because we were traveling for 3 weeks with alot luggage(8 bags).It seems one is always over weight. It work great for the first 2 weeks with out a problem, HOWEVER in the 3rd WEEK IT JAM AND THE ONLY WAY TO UNJAM IT WAS TO TAKE OUT THE BATTERY. This happen a couple times after that,unfortunately we are home and won't be traveling for a couple more months. I will keep you up to date.
Excellent productOctober 18, 2008 I have this scale and it is an excellent resource. We go on trips every year and with the increased strictness of the weight restrictions on airlines this allows us to know exactly how much to pack in our bags. It is simple to operate and will save you the trouble of having to redistribute your weight at the check in counter.

I believe that this is a good product. I'll test it out for certain in a few weeks when I fly out. It's definitely worth it for the price, since going over the 50 lb. mark is $50.00 each way on some airlines. I would recommend this product.
