Great splitting axe for great priceOctober 24, 2008 This axe was a great purchase. I had needed a splitting axe or maul and tried the weights of different brands. I didn't try out the others personally (in real splitting action) other than swinging, so I can't compare results, but I really do like the Fiskars. Feels good in the hands and does a great job at splitting. I would buy another if needed.
no to shabbyApril 20, 2008 well made, however it is far too light weight and did not come with any real edge; understandable, it is a splitting ax. for something this light though, it should have been sharp. overall it is a quality product just not on the scale of anything more than a pack ax

great stuffDecember 30, 2007 I bought a Fiskar axe and sharpener. I've used the axe before and decided to get one of my own. It stays sharp through alot of wood especially fat lighter. Great product.
