Great Game October 14, 2008 I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The collector's edition had some nice extras and a beautiful case. Although for the extra $25, I'm not sure I got my money's worth. I've never really gotten into action games and hack 'n slashers, but this game has changed that a little. As for replay value, personally, I went through it once and beat it on normal and played a few stages on hard. I haven't touched it since, but I'm not into the whole achievements thing, so already going through the game and seeing the story was enough for me. If you like action games I definitely recommend this game. If you are kind of neutral on them I'd say give it a try, I know I loved it. Overall it was a great experience.
Too much money for too little material August 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While there is no stopping dedicated fans from getting the DMC4 Collector's Edition, it is not the best limited edition box I've purchased and I don't recommend buying this one. All you really get is five music tracks and four anime episodes. Yeah it is a nice box but I think Capcom could have done a lot better. Behind the scenes/making of DMC4? Nope. Extra in-game content? Nope. Kind of a ripoff? Yeah pretty much. Unless you're totally a diehard fan with lots of money, just get the standard edition.
The Ultimate!! May 11, 2008 I've waited for this game soo much and didn't want to go for less than the Collector's Edition. It's worth every penny.
The game is awesome in every aspect. The more you play it, the more addicted you become to it. A 5-Star non-stop action video game for the most powerful system, the PS3.
Truely a must-have game :)
Over hyped edition May 1, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
First i am huge fan of the series, so naturally when the CE edition was offered i did not hesitate to buy it, the case of game is great i loved it but the bonus DVD,my oh my i was really disappointed with it the soundtrack, only five tracks? the game had alot of music tracks and they offered the CE at a premium price for only five tracks. and the interview it feels like youtube video slapped with some text question with director or producer they show you some of the cut scenes how they did it but really i expectd more from it. as for the game I was greatly disappointed with it they tell guest star appearance of lady and Trish, they should have said 15 seconds of lady because its that short and you play with nero most of the game which is fine then you play with dante for some levels which is great, but you cant chose dante in all of the level which was weird. the controls are easy and the graphics were great but the game does not have much replay value as the older versions i wish they offered more for me to play on a more difficulty levels to unlock costumes are not enough for replay value. as a DMC fan i expected more from this one, and as for the CE unless you want the metal case and the it' not worth it if want the anime just buy the box set. I regret buying the CE it does not feel like a CE should, the normal version would have been enough, as for the game a good fast paced solid action but with out much replay value unless you are fan of the series just rent it.
Awesome DMC April 7, 2008 This game is really a DMC (not like DMC2), i really enjoyed it. The graphics, the music and the action are incredible.
