a boy and his dogDecember 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I could not put this book down. It was so moving and lead me through so many emotions. To be honest, I have never written anything negative about a book on Oprah's Book Club list as she always recommends such wonderful books. "The Story of Edgar Sawtelle", is on the top of my list!
Terrific StoryDecember 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I don't know how I stumbled upon this book, but I am so glad I did. I absolutely loved it. It was a terrific read. It plods in some parts, but I don't really mind that. I highly recommend it and I will be giving it out for the holidays. T

I liked the story, and most of it was very compelling. I didn't like the ending so well, as I have many questions?
A great story if you have some time on your handsDecember 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you got some time on your hands its a good read...I read a good chunk of it over a couple days of Jury duty. I don't think it needed to be that long, but I loved the character development of the dogs. But the ending of the book fell flat for me and I closed the book feeling disappointed.
Beware of spoilers in the reviews!December 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoyed this book as a light read, but I caution those who are reading reviews to watch for spoilers in the reviews! I read some of the different reviews to see why opinion was so divided, and many of the reviewers give away key parts of the novel. I was extremely disappointed that so many of them ruined the key plot turns for me and really degraded the enjoyment of watching the story unfold. The book was a nice read with a story that kept me going. If you want to read it, don't read too many reviews... be your own judge.
