The $64 price tag is for a total of 12 filters, which works out to a bit more than $5 each.

These filters are a must if you have a coffee maker that takes them like our Braun. Filtered water makes all the difference in taste and maintenance of your coffee machine. In a year and a half of ownership of our machine, I have never had to clean the machine itself because of these filters. There are no mineral deposits left on the machine. Recommend highly, I'm ordering some more right now.

The pricing for this product is unbelievable! I just checked the European webpage for Braun parts and there you can get the water filters for 11.00 Euro (approx. $ 17.50). Somebody tries to make big bucks.
3rd party sellers are taking advantageJuly 1, 2008 $65/pair is a really ridiculous price for this item. Looks like Eleven Adar and a few other unscrupulous 3rd party merchants are taking advantage of the limited availability for these filters.
