Rock Band for the Wii -- In the Name of Rock and Roll November 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love my Rock Band for my Wii. I landed it for my birthday this past summer. It was the only item I had on my wish list at the time. I'm 39 years old, and love this game.
This game really brings out the fun and functionality of the Wii. You can sing, play drums, bass guitar, lead guitar until your hearts content. I love the components of this set.
The drum set, featuring Rock Band drumsticks, is the coolest drumkit I have ever played. I set it up for the first time on the night of my birthday, and felt like my name was Peter Criss from Kiss.
The guitar controller far outranks the Guitar Hero controller. It looks, feels and sounds like a real Fender Stratocaster. Sure it has the same set of buttons the Guitar Hero controller does, but baby, that other set of buttons is the real difference maker. The other set of buttons I'm referring to is the solo set. When the time comes down to getting in a real hot solo, or a big rock ending, just let loose on the solo buttons. Also you never need to insert a remote into this puppy.
The microphone brings out the vocalist in me. I have it on a real cool mic stand. Of course it needs a wireless mic holder, but that's a minor thing. Hearing my voice amplified through my home theater system in 5.1 surround is better than any studio setup.
As far as the interface goes, the USB hookup is awesome. The tutorials are really great. On a whole, if you're a musician like me, or have a real band to play with, get your hand on Rock Band.
Rock on Baby!
A MUST HAVE for all Wii owners October 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great game with or without multiple people. The drums are VERY sturdy and reliable. I've have been banging on them for months and no signs of damage The spring in the Bass pedal is larger and thicker compared to the ones of the 360,PS3,PS2 The Guitar/Bass is OK, but not very useful The fret buttons and very smooth but are VERY loud. The strum bar has no give and feels useless. The Microphone is great and made by Logitech. It's USB so you can use it with your computer as well. Might also work with the upcoming Animal Crossing for Wii.
Fun game has it's problems with No DLC(Downloadable Content) Which is due to the Wii's storage problem But this will be fixed in the upcoming RockBand 2 coming around December to the USA.
Wii rockband is entertaining for the whole family October 24, 2008 5-stars for fun, entertainment, ease of use 4-stars for limited selection of music, drum & mic not being cordless, and being a bit expensive ---
Awesome Game October 20, 2008 My children were pleasantly surprised when the box arrived just a few short days after I order it.
I was at work when it arrived. They are 11 years old and had it all together and were playing it in no time. It is an absolute blast for all of us to play. Anyone could play. It's alot of fun.
Rock Band for Wii October 18, 2008 This is a great Wii game my son and his friends love playing it. Even my 21 year old nephew enjoys it.
