Product Description This product is very easy to use. It's a square plastic box with glass on each side. To use it, just project the film into one side of the box and position the video camera on another. A mirror-like device in the center of the box deflects the image into the camera. One problem with these transfer methods is flicker. Video tape moves at 30 frames per second, while typical home movie cameras-- 8 millimeter and Super 8-- move at 18 frames or less. This disparity causes a strobing effect when seen through a video camera. Using a projector that allows free adjustment of the frame rate can lessen this effect. To completely avoid this strobing effect you'll have to take your film to a professional.
